How to use the Vejibag and Plant-based Consumption - the 'Beyond Meat' Revolution Keeping us Healthier, Safer and Happier!
The Vejibag is an easy to carry satchel, which creates a cool and humid space that enables your vegetables to breath, which enables over 2 weeks more life! It’s perfect for storing all kinds of vegetables, from lettuce to carrots to mushrooms to celery, with a comfy cotton design and trendy minimalistic design to add as an enjoyable addition to your day out, picnic, or even travel. But it’s not just any old cotton bag – it’s actually intelligently designed! Water in the fabric vaporises slowly and transports the moisture from the vegetables to the outside of the Vejibag. This creates a humid environment that enables vegetables to breathe and slows down the spoiling process in a natural way, enabling you to make sure nothing goes to waste.
In our age of consumption this is especially important as we want to consume as much of our plant based food as possible and move towards a more ecofriendly lifestyle. For example, reducing the demand for unused vegetables as the transportation involves lots of harmful symptoms, with greenhouse gases in transportation. In general, we want to move to a more plant-based (including vegetable and fruit) society and this is important because plants based food extremely renewable and so can act as a viable transition to the future of growing need food both for those that are poverty stricken in lower economically developed countries and for the rising population of the world. However, it’s not as simple as removing certain foods from our diet entirely, it’s how they’re created. When I say to you ‘we need to move to a society where we’re consuming far more plant based food’, I don’t mean we need to get rid of say, burgers.
In fact, this is a great example of such a shift. In recent years, neuroscientists have invented an initiative called ‘the impossible burger’ – using a combination of specific chemicals derived from plants and plants themselves, they make a burger that is made entirely of plant food look, feel, smell and taste like a real burger, in a direct attempt to remove the stigma of ‘sacrifice’ in moving to a veggie lifestyle. As the new age of food develops, with scientists working to remove meat consumption due to its massive impact on the climate, these kinds of solutions are likely to become commonplace in restaurants. While the impossible burger has already been implemented into Burger King stores in the United States, the ‘Beyond Meat’ company has already developed items such as the Beyond Breakfast Sausage and Beyond Beef Stuffed Mushrooms as consumer items.
Furthermore, plant-based foods are something we all need to get used to. After several studies, it's clear that they're on the rise, with 90% of South Americans saying they would now be interested in plant-based solutions and regular 'foodtech' summits to showcase new developments. The search for 'tastier plant-based products' is one the market is scrambling to jump on, with solutions such as controversial wagyu, frozen curries, a dairy revolution and even pancake mixes! Getting ahead of the trend is always good, especially as we enter a radical ten years to fight climate change and look to new ways to limit its impact as the planet gets hotter.
